This notice explains how your personal data is processed when you visit the meztas.com website and contact us through its forms, in accordance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”).

What data we process and why
Quote and contact form
When you submit the form, we receive your full name, email address, phone number (if you provide it) and your message. We use this information only to respond to your request, prepare a quotation and contact you about it. The legal basis is that the processing is directly related to entering into a contract and our legitimate interest in answering your request (KVKK Art. 5/2-c and 5/2-f).
To prevent abuse of the form (such as automated mass submissions), your IP address is checked briefly at the time of submission; it is not stored permanently.
Server logs
When you visit the site, the server keeps technical records such as your IP address, browser information and the time of your visit, in order to keep the site secure and running (KVKK Art. 5/2-f).
Visit statistics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used only if you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. If you choose “Decline” or make no choice, Google Analytics is not loaded and the site works exactly the same. This data is processed on the basis of your explicit consent and may be transferred to servers of Google LLC outside Türkiye (KVKK Art. 5/1 and Art. 9).
Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Our site uses the following cookies:
- meztas_consent (Meztaş, 1 year): Remembers your cookie choice (accept or decline). It is necessary for the site to work and contains no personal data.
- _ga, _ga_* (Google, up to 2 years): Set only if you give consent; used to measure visits as anonymous statistics. Deleted when you withdraw your consent.
You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page.
Third-party content
- YouTube videos: Videos are not loaded until you press play. When you do, the video opens in YouTube’s (Google) privacy-enhanced mode and YouTube may use its own cookies.
- Google Maps: The map on the contact page is provided by Google; when the map is displayed, Google may receive technical information such as your IP address.

Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data or share it with third parties for marketing. Data may be shared only as far as necessary to provide the service, with:
- the hosting provider of the site and the email service provider (for form notifications),
- Google, if you have given consent (visit statistics),
- public authorities legally entitled to request it (where there is a legal obligation).
How long we keep data
Quote and contact requests you send through the form are business correspondence and are therefore kept for 10 years under Article 82 of the Turkish Commercial Code No. 6102, after which they are deleted automatically. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes. Data whose retention period has expired is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed and, if so, to request information about it; to learn the purpose of the processing and whether the data is used for that purpose; to know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred; to request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data and, where the conditions are met, its deletion or destruction; to request that third parties to whom the data was transferred be notified of these actions; to object to a result against you arising exclusively from automated analysis; and to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

We may update this notice as the practices on the site or the legislation change. The current version is always published on this page.
